The task today is to align with the aspect of hydrogen that is rooted in the physical plane; giving nourishment. I was reading Matias’s blog today while breastfeeding Isha. At this early stage in life, there is not much more she wants than
to eat and sleep. There is something so profound and precious about the way a mother’s body will sacrifice to nourish an infant. Throughout the day the mother’s blood will be converted into milk. Hydrogen bonds will connect the
proteins, lactose and fat molecules to create the perfect composition and consistency in the milk that the baby needs in that moment. These Hydrogen bonds are the necessary stability, the “glue”, that holds these complex structures together.
This binding quality of Hydrogen helps me to relate to the Taurus aspect of this element. It is the stability behind what nourishes us. It is what makes these complex molecular structures possible so that we may have our needs met. Without Hydrogen, the molecule would fall apart.
When we came to our practice, we started with the vowel sounds. As soon as we began, Isha smiled in the beautiful way that she does. After I completed the first sound of ‘A’, she echoed back to me, “Ah, ah, ah”. Wow! She is 2 months old and we are already resounding our voices together. I moved her pelvis around repeating, “I have Hydrogen”. It became very real to see the bond between us, and to imagine all the molecules bound together. I lit the candle, and I noticed the designs refracting off the crystal and also the drinking glass. Connected points, bonded together to make the structure.
