9 Nights of the Goddess ~ Summer

June 27 @ 8:00 am - 9:00 am

Navaratri (9 Nights of the Goddess) is a sacred period honoring the Divine Goddess of the Universe.

There are 4 festivals each year which correspond to the Equinoxes and Solstices.
In Sanskrit it is called Navaratri.
Nava = Nine
Ratri = Nights

Each festival starts the day after the New Moon, and the Goddess is celebrated as the moon gains more light, the waxing moon.

This festival of the 9 nights of the goddess will start close to the summer solstice. the day after the New Moon.

The days will be set up in sets of 3’s. For each Goddess
Day 1-3: RELEASE (Kali ~ She Who Removes Darkness)
Day 4-6: REFINE (Lakshmi ~ She Who Manifests the Goal)
Day 7-9: RE-CREATE (Saraswati ~ She Who is All Knowledge)

During these 9 days, we will be performing a ritual offering to the Goddesses in the form of the 5 elements.

By purchasing your Goddess Ritual kit from the Store, you will have everything you need for the 9 days. If you can’t purchase a kit, you can read what supplies are in the kit and obtain them on your own.

Each day there is a recorded meditation to be done in the morning. You can perform your ritual offering either before or after.
As a bonus, you can also practice Sun Salutations as well. Instructions and guided recordings are available each day.

You can perform the ritual for just one Goddess each day, or offer to each Goddess in sets of 3 days. The recommended sequence is how we will perform the 9 nights previously mentioned.

Every kit for a specific Goddess, it is okay to offer with the mantras of the other Goddesses. They are all ONE. There is ONE Energy in different manifestations.
You hold within the memory of the Goddess ready to be activated for you to embody the divine energy to live your life to the fullest.

In Tantric traditions, this season’s Navaratri is focused on Goddess Varahi. This is an alternative approach to the common 3 Goddesses mentioned above.

Goddess Varahi is the fierce and protective aspect of the Divine Mother. Varahi is one of the Sapta Matrikas (seven mother goddesses) and serves as the commander of Goddess Lalita Tripurasundari’s celestial army. She symbolizes strength, courage, and the destruction of negativity, while also providing blessings for prosperity and spiritual protection.

Varahi represents the power to overcome obstacles and remove negativity, both external and internal. She is a guardian of dharma (cosmic order) and is revered for her ability to grant material and spiritual abundance. This Navaratri is a time to invoke her fierce grace to protect, guide, and empower us on our spiritual journey.

How to Celebrate:

  1. Chant Varahi Mantras: Recite Om Dhum Varahyai Namaha or Varahi Kavacham to invoke her blessings and protection.
  2. Perform Fire Offerings (Homa): Offer prayers to dispel negativity and invite spiritual power through sacred rituals.
  3. Honor Strength and Resilience: Focus on facing challenges with courage and grace, embodying Varahi’s fierce determination.
  4. Offer Sacred Foods: Prepare offerings such as lentils, rice, and jaggery-based dishes, symbolizing abundance and gratitude.
  5. Meditate and Reflect: Use this time to cleanse your energy, letting go of fears and aligning with your inner power.
  6. Invoke Prosperity and Protection: Place symbols of Varahi, such as boar imagery or sacred weapons, in your prayer space to channel her energy.

Varahi Navaratri invites us to connect with the divine warrior within, embracing fearlessness, resilience, and spiritual empowerment while seeking her protection and grace.
