Day 25: Lithium in Aries

Sign: Aries
Mantra: I Am Lithium. I Am the spark hidden within the stone.
Activation: Take a firm step, pressing the heels into the Earth, and breathe deeply.
Mother: We begin our next journey. Exploring Lithium and how its qualities show up in our life physically and metaphorically.
Baby: Isn’t that what batteries are made from?
Mother: Yes! That is one use. It is because lithium is a light weight, highly reactive metal.
Baby: The first spark of power.
Mother: It is similar to how we can react suddenly to a loud noise like a dog barking, or if we feel pain we might cry out. If we don’t learn to control our emotions, it could even mean lashing out at someone we love because they hurt our feelings.
Baby: Is it bad to react? It seems impossible to control our reactions.
Mother: It can be difficult as first. Imagine that every time you react unconsciously, an arrow shoots out from your heart. That arrow might land somewhere you don’t want.
Baby: So what can we do then? We are doomed to shoot arrows everywhere!
Mother: Teach your body to be still, then respond. Just like Lithium, if we create a contained environment, the spark can become energy for a useful response.
